About us

Riverbank Chambers is located on the fifth floor of the Riverbanks building, overlooking the Waikato River.

Riverbanks Chambers is the largest, and one of the leading, sets of Chambers in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty.

The members of Chambers provide expert advice and advocacy, in trials and appeals, in civil, commercial, criminal, employment, environment, family, public law, and regulatory litigation. Members also sit as arbitrators and mediators.

Located in Hamilton’s CBD and perched above the Waikato River at 286 Victoria Street, Riverbank Chambers can be found via the lobby shared by Browsers Books and Kopi Cafe. An elevator specific to Level 5 tenants can be found to the right of Browsers.

Riverbank Chambers is situated in The Riverbanks Building, Level 5, 286 Victoria Street, Hamilton.

This is located on the northern side of Victoria on the River Park, located on the riverbank side of Victoria Street opposite the Collingwood Street intersection.

There is no private car parking available. The CBD has one hour free street parking. Please ensure you register your vehicle with the on-street parking meters. There is also a carpark building in SkyCity, 346 Victoria Street (vehicle entry from Alma Street, off Victoria Street). Alternatively, there are parks at Centreplace or the old Farmers building on Alexandra Street.

As you come in through the automatic glass doors you will see Browsers Bookshop directly in front of you. The lift and stairs are on the right-hand side.

You will need to take the left-hand lift to the 5th floor by pushing the separate button at the bottom on the outside of the lift. The right-hand lift only goes as far as level 4.
